Despite the cold weather, many people gathered on the sidewalks around Bank Square in Little Falls in honor of veterans for their service and sacrifice, Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11. As traffic was stopped for a few minutes, a rifle squad made up of seven members of the Little Falls American Legion Post 46 and the Little Falls Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1112, marched down First Street, lined up and fired their rifles three times in a gun salute. Pictured above are rifle squad members (from left) Bob Klosowski (American Legion Post 46); Gary Fanjoy (American Legion Post 46); Dick Johnson (American Legion Post 46); Jerry Fedor (VFW Post 1112); John Justin (American Legion Post 46); Jerry Schmidtz (American Legion Post 46) and Greg Rausch (VFW Post 1112). After the gun salute, bugler Jack Ring, left, with the American Legion Post 46, played taps.
